We are enjoying our second to last day on the Serenity and scrambling to finish our homework before our flights back. Tonight is our last formal night so we’ll pull out the tuxes once again and go out in style!
We toured Bali yesterday and visited the beautiful Hindu temples on the second most populated Indonesian island. The street vendors are remarkably persistent on the island, following us for 15 minutes and/or knocking on our bus doors to sell us chess sets. Several of the guys caved and bought the wooden sets which they then had to turn over to ship security so they could be frozen (to kill any loose bacteria).
We had lunch on a beautiful Cliffside that overlooked Bali’s largest mountain and also its’ widest lake. While we were eating, however, several rain clouds rolled in and actually covered us and our surroundings with cloud. It was a really neat but strange experience.
We had a great after-dinner performance last night and are getting ready for our final two shows tomorrow night – we’ll be doing some of our favorite songs to say goodbye.
I’ll send an update from Singapore and then back in the states. Talk to you soon!
