Day 1

We've made it to our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, after a surprisingly long six hour flight from Tokyo. The flight was very comfortable though - ANA coach class treats passengers well with lots of savory snacks and a good meal. Neither of us could really sleep on the plane, though, so my eyes are closing as I write this. Tomorrow we're visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels and touring the Vietnamese countryside as much as the roads allow. We've realized we've come in the heart of monsoon season so kudos to me for the planning.
