-- Purpose --
We want this blog to document some of our favorite moments and experiences as we travel around the world over the years. This is partially for our benefit - so we make sure not to miss anything! But, it's also so we can keep in touch with our friends and family. We love to hear from you so let us know what you think!

Family time and Sitges

After several nonstop days, we had a more leisurely morning today playing with the boys, getting some workouts in, and doing laundry at Lorena’s aunt and uncle’s apartment.  We also modeled our Barça kits, which all three Svirnovskiy boys were very proud to wear.

In the early afternoon, we joined Lorena, her parents, and her brother for a delicious Catalan feast at La Toja Restaurant in Castelldefels.  We had toasted bread with tomatoes and olive oil, patatas bravas, jamon, croquetas, and then the big guns came out — a seafood paella with lobster, clams, crab, and more, and then a steak that we cooked at the table.  (Earlier in the meal, the chef brought out our lobster, alive, to show the table, and we had to deftly explain to the boys why the lobster was on a plate….). We finished the meal with fruit, cream Catalana and bunyols.  We were absolutely stuffed and then partook in a nice siesta, while the boys recharged with quiet time.

In the early evening, we drove with Lorena and her parents to Sitges.  We had a great time wandering down the beach with them and then heading into town, where we met up with Imma and Elena.  The boys were surrounded by so many folks who love them - they (and we) are so lucky!  Lorena’s dad carried each of them on his shoulders for a while and we swung them through the beautiful streets of Sitges.

Tomorrow we’re heading into Barcelona for one last day in Spain (for now) before flying to Zürich on Friday (early) morning.

Finally — happy birthday, Baba, and happy anniversary, Mommom and Granpa!!

See you soon.
