Hey everyone. So after a VERY long day of travel (not the last!) the VGs have arrived in the eco-tourism city of Boquete. We left our resort/paradise/dream world at 9am and drove to the bus terminal in Panama City.
After getting some lunch and scouting the out the mall with the excitement of 15 twelve year olds who were allowed to go out by themselves for the first time, we got on the bus to go to the city of David, Panama at 2pm.
After an unnecessarily lengthy bus ride filled with Spanish music video mash ups and "The Marine II" (now we realize why the bus trip only cost 10 dollars), we got to David at 9:45pm.
On the way, the bus stopped for a dinner break and Wayne and I sampled the local cafeteria. Pray for our digestive systems to survive the next 72 hours. This caused us to miss the bus to Boquete so we hitched cabs and finally got to our nice, new hostel at around eleven.
Tomorrow we leave our hostel at 7:40 for a rafting trip in beautiful Boquete. Class 3+ rapids (oh my God). After that we're camping out in the jungle (bed nets and bug spray!) Wish us luck and check back soon!
-Simon
