London Day 5

Today we had our final class of the week and discussed Religion and its history in London as well as the show we saw last night, After the Dance.
After our discussions, we rested up and then we watched 21 Up, the third in a series of documentaries about several Englanders. It was really fascinating to see how the participants have changed since they were 7 and then 14.
After watching the documentary and getting a quick dinner, we went out to the Solo Bar to listen to some live jazz. My roommate Brandon led the way and we navigated the tube to Camden Town where we got to the club, ordered some drinks and listened to some excellent live music. Jazz is a really amazing art form and it was interesting to see how this American art has traveled across the pond, received incorporation and was changed by the addition of some classical elements, and then manifested itself as English Jazz.
We're back now and leaving early tomorrow morning for Cambridge so check back soon!
